How is this still an issue in 2006?

Evolution wins out in Mich. curriculum

The State Board of Education on Tuesday approved public school curriculum guidelines that support the teaching of evolution in science classes — but not intelligent design.
Intelligent design instruction could be left for other classes in Michigan schools, but it doesn't belong in science class, according to the unanimously adopted guidelines.

I went to a Catholic high school for a few months towards the end of my highschool year. All I'm saying is that their "science" teachers were also the school's "religion" teachers. I was known as the godless heathen among my classmates explaining the concepts of evolution and poking all sorts of holes into creationism.

But I didn't ~mean~ to make them cry. Honest!

Makes me want to put a Darwin sticker on my car. Of course I live in Tenn so I'd probably be pulled over and ticketed for it

According to a report that The Daily Show brought up last week the United States is second only to Turkey in the percentage of a nation's population that does not believe in evolution. This was out of the 30 most developed nations in the world.

How this is even possible is beyond me.

Oh yeah, God did it. ;x

Diane: Actually I had one guy questioning his decision to enter the priesthood. But he wasn't serious about it. He totally got around with all the girls in that school.

Pixie: And we're both Taurus. We're also more stubborn than everyone else.
