DIANE'S RESOLUTIONS/GOALS FOR 2007, NUMBER 13:

Apply to grad school to get a Masters Degree in Library Science (I have a not so secret wish to become a librarian as my next career).

I'm not trying to snark but I've always wondered why librarians would need a masters degree. It seems like the only thing you'd need to master would be the dewey decimal system?

I think being the head librarian would be neat if you were in a graduate setting where you were expected to also research and write.

I found the librarians at my university to be aloof and wary. They did not interact with us mere students. Instead, it was the underpaid student help that answered questions. Which leads me to wonder, what do the librarians do at university libraries?
