Last year, my friend Chris gave me some Amaryllis bulbs from her garden, and they are finally coming into bloom. Here are my first flowers up against some Gladiola stocks. I don't expect to have flowers on the Glads until late May. . . . but they are always spectacular, and I love waiting to see what color flowers will emerge.

What beautiful flowers, I remember someone gave my mother an amaryllis once & like yours it leaned over from the weight of the flower! She had hers in a flower pot though & so was not to thrilled when she got up one monrning & it had fallen over spilling dirt all over her den's floor!
Here from Micheles today.

Your flower pictures tend to evoke the most geographical envy!! But things are beginning to poke out here, too!

Man, I thought you'd have the scoop on Sandra and Jesse James. BTW, I saw some dude in a silver Z get pulled over the cops in front of you dwelling (going south) on Thursday morning. Cops had the guns blazing. Not sure it had anything to do with the stalker, seeing that it was as half mile away, but it was kind of interesting.

The red of the Amaryllis with the green of the Gladiola reminds me of Christmas. By the way, happy early birthday.
