"Ice cream is exquisite. What a pity it isn't illegal." ~Voltaire
My favorite maker? Haagen Dazs. Favorite flavor? Dulce de Leche. I'm also a big fan of Baskins & Robins' Pralines and Cream.
With the warmer weather, ice cream has become a must have treat. Fortunately, I have found a couple of healthier options. Healthy Choice makes a fabulous caramel ice cream sandwich at only 150 calories a sandwich. Dreyer's makes individual cookies and cream double churned cups at 100 calories a cup. Both get a big thumbs up from me!
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Healthy schmelthy. From Baskin-Robbins, a scoop of mint chocolate chip with a scoop of chocolate chip in a waffle cone. Since I was a kid.

From Cold Stone, either the Strawberry-Banana rendez-vous (strawberry ice cream w/strawberries, banana, white chocolate chips and graham cracker crust), or Oreo Overload (vanilla ice cream with Oreos, chocolate chips, and fudge.

Ooh, ice cream! Okay, my fave flavors are: Haagen Dazs Rum Raisin, Haagen Dazs Vanilla Fudge, and Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. But all those are way too high in calories, so I usually go for Golden Spoon -- nonfat and 17 cals per oz. Yum!

I can't have ice cream in my house. It doesn't matter the size of the container, I can eat it in one sitting. Ice cream is divine.

I'm a huge fan of anything Oreo cookie related. Oh, chocolate chip cookie dough works for me, too.

Edit - I totally did the one scoop mint chip, one scoop choc chip for years. GMTA.

Ice cream is the best. Impossible to pick a favorite flavor. I go the LA route. If it's in the house, it is usually finished in one setting.

(We're talking Ben & Jerry's pint containers.)

Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. I grew up a 90-minute drive from where they founded the chain, so their story was always a prominent thing in my burg.

I eat as much as I want. I ride extra kilometres on the bike to compensate. It all balances out in the end.

Thank you, by the way, for your lovely comment on my blog this evening. I very much appreciate it.

Anything with chocolate in it and I'm a happy gal. Although I've never been one to turn down any flavor of ice cream!

For the fancy stuff, Haagen Dazs pineapple coconut.
But I really like McDonald's chocolate-dipped ice cream cones, too. :)

Homemade is always the best! And I love almost all flavors of ice cream and am lucky to live with 30 miles of two creameries that make their own (one is connected right to the dairy)!

I'm not huge into chocolate (I know! I know!) but I will make a few exceptions for ice cream. In Toronto at Bayview and Davisville, there is this fantastic little gelato shop called Hollywood Gelato. I get two scoops of cappuccino and two of cookies and cream. It makes me very very happy.
