My holiday snowglobe collection is now at two - thanks eBay! I found another snowglobe I would like to bid on, but I'm not sure if a Nativity scene in a snowglobe would be inappropriate? While I'm not overly religious, I also see no reason to piss off those who may be watching from heaven . . .
I'm planning to get my Christmas tree this weekend, and do a bit of shopping. I'd also really like to get busy with some jewelry making and a bit of knitting. (I know - how will me heart withstand all this excitement). I'm making some flip-top mittens to take with me to Yellowstone that (and this is the theory) will allow me to use my right hand to operate my camera while still staying relatively warm. And finally . . .
Don't ask . . .

Ohhhh, your toe! Was anything broken or fractured?

I'm not religious at all, and I absolutely love nativity scenes. (Actually, I love religious art in general.) I honestly don't think a nativity scene in a snowglobe is offensive as much as it is inaccurate. I don't believe they get much snow in Bethlehem.

I have a nativity snow globe!

As for your foot--wow--I hope it quickly heals.

As for the gloves/mitts, you can get such gloves as used for fishing--they're also great to be able to get your fingers around your camera--which I'm sure you've learned--don't really like extreme cold.

I can see the amusement of collecting snowglobes while living on the beach in California. (Oh, and add ice to that shopping list!)

Based on the more rustic nature of this year's trip, I think you're going to get some great photos!!

although the nativity scene is holy, it may be a tad blasphemous to add it to a holiday theme. you know how that whole tree thing gets people riled up.

i know you said not to ask, but what's the deal with the foot?
